Re: Tahi - The Arocean War (9-9-09)
Ok, sorry to stray off.
Here are the following online methods for Tahi:
ONLINE "TO DO" LIST:
1. Modem support (most any DC player has one or can get one).
2. BBA support (enough hardcore DC players have these, although modem is the majority).
ONLINE "NOT TO DO" LIST:
1. Serial port (not even 1% of the DC community has a serial cable although you can buy one for about $30.00 still - DC serial to PC 9-pin Sub-D COM port serial). This is "do-able" but would be difficult for availability and "unexplored territory" reasons.
2. Create a new piece of hardware (you will have support issues).
3. Using the DC controller port to USB to PC server (just in case someone thinks it is possible to do).

Some small retro stores sometimes distribute commercial homebrew games, but don't expect huge chains like Gamestop to have Tahi in store. Sure, looking at the overall quality of Tahi, it would probably do better than all those generic titles you find in major retail nowadays.segadreamcastlover wrote:will this game when it comes out be avalable in major retail and gaming stores? that would be awesome if so, that would prove to the world the sega dreamcast is still alive and kicking ass

Re: Tahi - The Arocean War (9-9-09)
This is another update from Reticon:
"We're continuing work on the programming of the game. As we delve deeper, the scope of the programming becomes larger. We have a new programmer as well, her name is Amanda and she is a computer engineer. She will be in charge of working with the ARM architecture of the Dreamcast and some assembly code. The website is unfinished due to my work load I had this year but it will get finished soon. In case nobody knows yet, we do have a blog that folks can subscribe to, to check up on our updates as seen here: http://reticon-et.blogspot.com/
It has been a little slow right now due to our workloads but it has now topped off and I will be spending the majority of this winter programming and debugging code for the game along with Roscoe my assistant programmer.
So nothing fantastic yet guys! all in due-time.
Thank you,
Reticon Entertainment"
We here at
Dreamcast-Talk wish them a happy holiday and much success in the new year.

Glad to hear this is still in progress. I wish I could help, but I don't have any of the required skills.

If they are not on schedule. I think they should push the release date forward. I would rather wait longer then get a rushed game.
