Hello folks of DC-Talk!
You may have seen us before on Dreamcast Scene and possibly Sega's official forums. We're just here to announce that we've been working on an RPG game for the Dreamcast.

You can get an update of where we are at with this link:
http://www.dreamcast-scene.com/communit ... php?t=3807

And we have just recently launched our official website as well for 9-9-09!

Tell us what you think!

RETICON, thanks for joining. I'm not sure people here have heard of this project yet.

I looked at the progress on the dc scene topic and I must say I'm very impressed with the 3d model you have shown. I attached it below so everyone here can see.

I like the idea of a 3D RPG. Finally something that's not a "shooter"! I would have liked to see an FPS more though.

Keep us updated here. I can't wait to hear more.

Wow, it's not another single-player side-scrolling shoot 'em up video game!

Well, time for updates, it is midnight here!

I (Frank Lima) first began Reticon as R.E.T in 2001 with the creation of Tahi over eight years ago. The original Tahi was a short animated film about the cruelties of war and resource mongering. Since then, Tahi has slowly evolved until just recently where I decided to dust off the old stories and with my added programming skills, created a team of over 5 people dully named the 'Ragtag Reticons'! since then it's been history as you all know.

Tonight, we fully announce that we will continue the game 100% forward, non stop. We have access now to many computer laboratories to do our engine research (physics, etc.), we have also acquired two film makers in this project. One will be in charge of sound design, the other will be in charge of organizing and marketing. We also have our wonderful artists and programmers as well! The game will in fact be an RPG for the original Tahi stories would be rightly justified in an RPG.

So tonight. We fully announce that Reticon Entertainment is now in business. We have set up our copyrights and domains, as well as organization!

Our website is located here with the 'new' site. Its still under SERIOUS construction, it may even change entirely but as of midnight tonight, this is what we have to present to you:
http://www.ReticonEntertainment.org/

We understand it may not be much but we fell a little behind schedule so the site is not completed. Enjoy the music it is going to be used in the game!

Thank you all and good night!
The Ragtag Reticons!

RETICON,

Thanks for the update. I'm glad to hear everything is getting set up nicely. Sounds like you have a great team behind the project.

I'll be checking your new site frequently, it looks cool.

Can we see the original animated short anywhere on the web?

Yes, thank you!
Everything is congealing together like clockwork right now which is fantastic! We're still working on the website, we should have a 100% fully functional website by the end of the week.

As for the original short, I still have it, however its packed away almost 200 miles away from my current location =(. I'll see if I still have it stored in a computer or an online account, if so, I'll post it right away. If not, I'll have to return to pick up the original copy and rip it for youtube.
