I don't think the series was cancelled because neither SEGA nor Archie didn't want to continue, I think there were pending lawsuits from writers and maybe artists that mainly influenced that decision. I'd love it to continue (I just bought the final three issues, and there's no finale!), but I think the legal issues need to be worked out before anything can happen.
