PBA Bowling 2001 Server Shutdown

PBA Bowling 2001

As of sometime in November 2004, PBA Bowling 2001's server has been having some so called troubles. Now, the server is officially shut down. A dc user was in touch with Bethesda softworks(the makers of PBA) and gamespy. He got this reply from Bethesda:

Bethesda most likely noticed too many unauthorized people accessing the servers (since the game never even actaully released) and had gamespy shut the server down. Or, they just forgot about it and finally realized it was still around and shut it down. Gamespy still hosts Starlancer and 4x4 Evoluton, which are dc games still online. Check this list to see what Dreamcast games are still online.

This reply tells you how to play a (LAN) game. That could definitly open up some online possibilitys. Such as, using some type of program like warp pipe for gamecube.

Well, unfortunately thats another online Dreamcast game to hit the dust. Who knows which games will be next...
